In his early twenties, Jonathan David Baker began pursuing an undergraduate degree in fashion at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, focusing on draped, patterned, and tailored garments. His final BFA collection offered a sophisticated range of looks all rendered in eco-friendly materials. Upon completion, he immediately continued at the Academy in pursuit of a master's degree, this time focusing on hand and machine knitting. His final MFA collection was shown by the school in New York Fashion Week, featuring a luxe and meticulously hand-worked mix of patterned and knit garments. His work has been favorably mentioned by Cathy Horyn of the New York Times. For nearly five years, he has interned for Rodarte. |
